Welcome

Dear Friends and Neighbors
of San Juan Capistrano.

Welcome to my official website for my re-election to the City Council for our beloved City. I want to thank-you for allowing me to serve you these past 4 years and I am seeking your continued support for another term.

As a resident of this wonderful valley for 32 years, I know you join me in cherishing this wonderful gift we call our home. Its gentle sea breezes and mission bells have welcomed me and my family home during happy times and sad, but always true to the spirit that makes San Juan so special.

My wife Vicky and I raised our two children in this community and know the importance of balance in all that the city offers. From our youngest families running to weekend soccer games to our many retirees living in rent controlled neighborhoods, we are an eclectic group of residents, not defined by our differences, but rather by our love of our quaint village.

Having the privilege of serving you on the City Council for the last four years, I have truly been blessed to have worked with so many committed members in our community. From the Historical Society to the Fiesta Association, Chamber of Commerce, Mission San Juan Capistrano, and many others, I have gained an even greater appreciation of what it takes to provide quality service to our residents and what it takes to work cooperatively to achieve our goals.

While an equestrian at heart, I have a deep appreciation of what it takes to raise a young family in our community. Again, I believe that we must balance our resources to meet the needs of our young working families that are shaping the citizens of tomorrow. Our recreational opportunities must speak to serving the needs of young and old alike for play is good for the body and soul.

With our bountiful open spaces and miles of wonderful trails, our community is one of a kind in the Southern California landscape. You know when you have come home as you enter our town from any direction because of our protected ridgelines and village like atmosphere. How many towns in our area can boast of a downtown where you can meet your neighbors and enjoy the history and ambiance of small town America?

I invite you to examine my position papers on the critical issues that I have been working on for you for the past four years. I humbly ask for your support in re-electing me for another four years so that I may continue to serve and see to fruition so many exciting projects that will continue to make San Juan Capistrano the truly unique community that we have come to love and respect.

 Sincerely,

 Sam Allevato, Councilman
